Support Us We are a non-profit organization that provides free services to our clients through the compassionate men and women who volunteer their time to do God's work. As with any business, there will always be operational costs associated with the maintenance and growth of the organization especially to support the ambitious vision that we have set for this ministry to provide free consultations and spiritual counselling and advice to our clients with specific needs in many different areas. In this regard, we do appreciate any financial assistance that you could provide. Be assured that your support will be used completely to help the ministry grow in order to reach God's people for His glory and to expand His kingdom here on earth and we firmly believe that there will be eternal rewards for your generosity both here and now and in heaven for all eternity! As a guideline, here is what the Word of God says about tithing and giving generously: "Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." (Luke 6:38) Later on in Luke's gospel; we see how Jesus admonished the Pharisees of his day because of their warped view of some of God's laws and commandments. In Luke 11:42, Jesus said to them, "Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone". Wow, what a rebuke! Even though the Pharisees were obedient to part of God's law which was to give 10% of their income (tithe) to God's kingdom; they neglected the most important of God's commandments which is to 'love each other as He has loved us'. Today, I believe we have the opposite problem all around the world; because even though many people are trying their best to 'love thy neighbour' as Jesus taught us; we have neglected the giving of 10% of our income to God's church and God's kingdom here on earth. Let's face it; God has blessed us with so much and yet many times we are unwilling to give back to God the first firstfruits of our blessings which rightfully belong to Him anyway! In fact, everything that we have belongs to God; He has only given it to us on a temporary basis to see how we will handle it and what we will do with what He has given us. Our house belongs to God, our kids belong to God and even our car belongs to Him. We would not be able to obtain any of these things if it were not for the gifts that He has placed within all of us. The gifts of creativity; a sound mind; intelligence, physical health, determination & perseverance and so on! One of my all-time favourite scriptures is found in the book of James, verse 1:17, it says: "every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." It is impossible to out perform God; the more we give Him; the more He gives us in return; 30-fold, 60-fold or 100-fold! The more love and attention we give God; the more we feel His love and presence all around us and within us. The more we give Him in the area of finances; the more He blesses us with spiritual gifts and financial prosperity! It is a simple formula which always works; "we reap what we sow"! The gospel of Matthew offers a very good illustration of this fact that if we plant a seed in fertile soil; we will reap a good harvest. "The one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown." (Matthew 13:23) I therefore encourage all of you to start tithing a minimum of 10% to your local church for you own good in order to unlock & release the blessings that God has stored up and waiting for your life. This is the one area that many Christians seem to fail in the most. In fact, statistics show that the average Christian only tithes between 2% & 5% of their income. This is far short of God's spiritual law which was created for our own good! He wants us to learn to be generous; not stingy or greedy; God loves a "cheerful giver". And He will justly reward a "cheerful giver" according to His glorious riches that are in Christ, Jesus. God is watching us and even as I am writing this He is convicting my own heart to invest more into His kingdom so that He can continue to bless us. I believe He is saying that even now as people are reading this; financial bondages are starting to come off their shoulders and any financial curses that people have been living under for so long are starting to be broken if we will only be obedient to His Word. He wants to bless us more than we can imagine; however in many cases He cannot release these blessings which are the answers to our prayers because we continue to be unfaithful in this area of finances which is clearly illustrated in His Word as a spiritual law! God has already blessed us with so much; that if every Christian were to give 10% of their income; we could wipe out world hunger! Forgive us Lord and have mercy on us for being so lax in this area of tithing and help us to correct this problem within all your churches and the entire body of Christ. We strongly recommend that you take this message seriously and allow God to transform your heart in the way that you manage your finances; He will not force you to do anything; He wants you to do it for your own good; so that you learn that "it is truly better to give than to receive". It's such a liberating feeling to break free from the natural tendency of self-focus and self-interest in all areas of our life both in finances and in personal relationships and other areas as well. When we learn to break free from the old habit of selfishness; then we will truly begin to experience the heart of God! The final warning that God provides about this very important topic of tithing is found in last book of the Old Testament. In Malachi 3:6-10, God says: "I, the Lord do not change. So you, O descendents of Jacob, are not destroyed. Ever since the time of your forefathers you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you," says the Lord Almighty. But you ask, 'How are we to return?' Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. "But you ask, 'How do we rob you?' "In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse -- the whole nation of you -- because you are robbing me. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it." Wow, what more can I say; the Lord has clearly spoken and He is inviting us to test Him in this area. The first time that I read this, I ran to my local church and wrote them a cheque for $1,000 and asked God to forgive me for robbing Him by falling short in my tithes & offerings. He immediately broke the financial curse over my life and has been blessing me ever since... so let Him do the same for you! Here are some other scriptural references which clearly illustrate God's intention and command that 10% is to be the standard for tithes & offerings: 1) Genesis 14:20 2) Numbers 18:26 3) Deuteronomy 14:22 4) 1 Samuel 8:15 5) Luke 11:42 6) Luke 18:12 7) Hebrews 7:4 There is no question that 10% is the standard amount for tithes & offerings; however if you decide to give more, then God will bless you even more because the more you give; the more you shall receive! God always keeps His promises; it is part of His spiritual law which is perfect & infallible because God is faithful and true; strong to deliver and mighty to save! If we're going to break this bondage; then let's really crush it under our feet and smash it to pieces once and for all... I pray Father God that there be total and complete deliverance, liberty & freedom in this area of financial bondage for anyone who is reading this right now! By the power of Your Holy Spirit; we claim the spiritual authority that you have given us "to trample on snakes and scorpions" and we break any curses over our lives in this area of finances and we destroy and demolish all financial strongholds in Jesus' name for the glory of God the Father! Amen
